Splash pads are classified as either a “drain away” or, “recirculation” system. A drain away system will use municipal or well water to supply the water features. This water goes directly to drain afterwards. A recirculation system will capture the water, filter it, and then reintroduce the treated water back to the features. A portion of fresh water is also introduced with this process.
Both systems have their own advantages and are suited for different environments and operating requirements.
